How It Works

Publishing your manuscript with us is simple and inexpensive. It takes a few simple steps.

 

Step One: You email us with the number of words in your manuscript and we respond with a quote for what the per book cost will be to print your book with us.

 

Step Two: You either email your manuscript to us as an attachment (submit@bigfishbooks.com) or send it on disk by mail. You also give us an idea of what you want your cover to look like. And if you want to include an author's picture on the back, send that too. We respond with a cover mock-up and a sample text layout.

 

Step Three: When the layout and design are to your satisfaction, we send you an authors agreement to sign, which states the terms of our agreement, including costs and the fact that you retain all rights to your manuscript. Finally, you receive a copy of the same document signed by a Big Fish representative.

 

Step Four: You send a check or paypal payment for the agreed amount and your book is made available for order (by you or anyone else in the world) within 2-3 weeks.

 

Step Five: Order as many copies as you want whenever you want and receive them in about a week. Also receive payment from sales through dozens of online venues and bookstores while doing nothing.
